This stunning installation story comes from the home of Pauline Harward and her family in Woking Surrey. Having purchased their home some 13 years ago the Harward’s were undertaking a complete renovation of the house. Having made this their perfect family home, the Harward's wanted a floor which would never need replacing, so the 35-year guarantee offered by V4 Wood Flooring made perfect sense. Pauline, who has a keen eye for design, wanted a natural floor with a timeless aesthetic to add a cohesive element throughout the ground floor of their home.

The Eiger Petit Oak Golden Stained, Brushed & UV Oiled floor has a 5 mm rustic oak top layer that is rolled with steel brushes to take away the softer grain whilst following the contours of the natural grain. The result is an enhanced surface texture which becomes tactile underfoot and extremely durable to everyday scratches. The brushed surface is further enhanced and protected by coats of coloured oil.
“Our carpenter, who is experienced at fitting floors, installed the floor and he did a fantastic job, the neat finish is excellent. The floor has been great to live with as it’s so easy to keep clean and maintain. Having the same floor throughout the downstairs creates a lovely continuous flow to the house and helps provide the light and spacious feel we wanted.What I particularly like is that it looks so natural. Every board is different which adds character to each room. Everybody comments positively on the flooring when they visit us and we are delighted about that.”

EP103 Golden Oak
The 5mm rustic oak top layer of EP103 Golden Oak is rolled with steel brushes to take away the softer grain whilst following the contours of the natural grain, the result is an enhanced surface texture which becomes tactile underfoot and extremely durable to everyday scratches. The brushed surface is further enhanced and protected by UV cured coats of Danish Colour oil. A thick top layer of subtly textured rustic European oak is soaked in a Golden brown hue created with penetrating coats of UV hardened natural colour oils.
