After living in the house for 14 years, Aleksandra and her family decided it was time for a refresh, and with V4 Wood Floors Natureffect Laminate, they were able to do just that. With an extremely busy family home – and their dog max – Aleksandra knew she would need a floor that not only suited their design but would also be hardwearing.
Aleksandra chose Silent Pool Oak from V4’s Natureffect collection. Aleksandra explains, “I love that it doesn’t stain quickly, and it doesn’t really scratch much. The kids have already spilt water on it, and it didn’t raise.”.
When it came to installation, Aleksandra’s Husband Piya laid the planks himself. When it comes to the design, Aleksandra drew inspiration from her own style, explaining “I always loved grey, light grey flooring. I felt it will make the house look a bit bigger and it would match my style much more”. Silent Pool Oak offers a contemporary yet rustic finish with its cool grey tones imprinted with a naturally textured grain. The registered embossed top layer is tactile underfoot, whilst being an extremely hardwearing surface – ideal for busy family homes like Aleksandras!
The family home interiors have a fantastic eclectic style that burst with character! Through mixing classic and contemporary pieces such as the chesterfield sofas with contemporary metallic light fitting, the design perfectly combines modern finishes with traditional, homely style. The flooring runs through the open-plan space into the hallway, creating a seamless flow throughout the home, further opening the rooms up, whilst working perfectly with the creams and subtle pinks for the pain and soft furnishings.
When discussing how the family have gotten on with the floor since they installed it, Aleksandra states: “We really love the quality of the floor and it’s soft to walk on. It’s easy to clean, just wipe with a damp cloth”.
