A three tiered building in the heart of the city, Left Bank is purpose built for weddings, functions, pop-up restaurant nights and a host of other uses. The buildings glass frontage affords spectacular river views and every floor has its own exclusive balcony.
A popular and valuable asset to the County, after a period of closure The Waring family took over its lease in early 2014 with a view to rejuvenating the well loved venue into a contemporary and thriving attraction for locals and visitors to enjoy.
The family undertook a full interior renovation to modernise the space before its re-launch in November 2014, which included the installation of 500m2 of new wood flooring.
The choice of flooring was critical to this renovation as it would need to provide both a flexible platform that would work harmoniously with individual event themes and set-ups, but also be durable and long lasting to withstand its’ busy footfall.
Left Bank’s Lauren Waring was introduced to V4 Woodflooring by local V4 retailer Wye Flooring. She was impressed not only with the ranges available but the durable production and long lasting guarantee that came with V4 Woodflooring.
“We wanted a real wood floor that would give a modern, standout finish, but also be neutral to work alongside the different uses and event dressings our rooms come up against. Richard at Wye Flooring listened to our requirements and aspirations and proposed V4’s Eiger Collection Oak Rustic Lacquered floor.”
The E125 has a hardwood multi- ply base layer which makes it extremely stable, ideal for the large function rooms of the Left Bank. The chunky 5 mm rustic oak top layer is packed with natural character and finished with a tough aluminium oxide lacquer which is ideal for these high traffic areas where easy maintenance is required.
“When we compared this to other samples and wood finishes V4 stood out both on product quality and also the professional installation service they provided. We are delighted with the results.”
Richard Mckie from Wye Flooring said,
“For a space like Left Bank they wanted a traditional aesthetically striking wood floor, but also one that would withstand high traffic. The Eiger Petit Oak Rustic Lacquered floor comes with a durable finish, but it can also be sanded and re-treated numerous times so over the years the floor can be revived to appear as new. Left Bank has invested in a wood floor that provides not only a modern look, but will last for years.”
