Rustic oak is filled and sanded smooth and left unfinished so that it can be installed and then coloured to suit any design or simply lacquered or oiled for a completely natural look. The small blocks come from the a long tradition of parquet floors and are fitted in a traditional herringbone formation but at a more contemporary oversized scale which works in all spaces big and small. Unlike traditional blocks, the Deco Parquet range of floors are engineered with a 4 mm refinished oak wear layer with bevelled edges bonded to a hardwood ply base, which means they can be bonded to any flat surface including over low energy underfloor heating systems. IMPORTANT NOTE: This floor must be coated with a suitable oil of lacquer at the time of  installation and before it is in use. This will affect the finished appearance
